Lodge & Experience

IMG_2791.jpeg

Embark on a six-day guided elk hunt with 3B Outfitters, set in the heart of 27,000 acres of private Montana wilderness—a rugged paradise of steep ridges, thick timber, and open meadows teeming with elk and deer. Our seasoned guides, paired at a 2:1 ratio with hunters, ensure a personalized experience, using spot-and-stalk, calling, and glassing from high vantage points in side-by-sides to locate mature elk. For a more tailored hunt, opt for a 1:1 guide ratio at an additional $3,000. This hunt demands good physical fitness to navigate the challenging terrain, but our support makes it rewarding.

Elk Hunt Details

The all-inclusive price is $9,250, covering experienced guides, transportation to and from Great Falls or Helena airports, comfortable lodging, all meals (in-camp and freeze-dried for backcountry hunts), and assistance with field dressing and transporting your harvest to a processing facility. Exclusions include personal hunting gear, firearms, hunting tags, licenses, permits, gratuities, taxidermy, meat processing costs, and additional trophy fees. Opportunities to hunt mule deer may arise at our discretion, with an extra trophy fee of $2,500 if you choose to pursue one.

Each day kicks off before dawn with a hearty breakfast, followed by hikes to prime vantage points for glassing. We’ll track elk movement, strategize a stalk, and position you for a clean, ethical shot. You might spot black bears, bighorn sheep, mountain lions, or wolves along the way, adding to the thrill. A sack lunch keeps you fueled, and after an evening hunt, return to a hot dinner at the lodge, where you can relax by the fire pit under the stars. If you harvest an elk, our team handles field dressing and transport, supported by a string of well-trained horses for pack-outs from remote areas.

Post-hunt, we partner with trusted local butcher shops to process and package your meat to your specifications—custom cuts, vacuum-sealed, and ready fast to preserve quality. For your trophy, choose a reputable taxidermist we work with for mounts, or we’ll cape and prepare the skull and antlers for safe transport to your preferred taxidermist. Our support staff, including spotters, packers, and guides, ensures a seamless experience from start to finish.
